Comparison Study and Process Portfolio
Through the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, I was assigned a comparison study where I chose three artworks of at least two different mediums, and I compared the compositional elements. This project allowed me to not only demonstrate my knowledge on artistic composition, but to show how shared characteristics can hold similar intent, meaning, and effect.
I chose "Migrant Mother" photographed by Dorothea Lange, "Afghan Girl" photographed by Steve McCurry, and "Crying Girl" painted by Roy Lichtenstein.
The process portfolio below demonstrates the steps I took when planning and executing multiple different art projects during my IB Career. In this portfolio, I present a diverse collection of photography, film, and digital artwork. The purpose of this portfolio is not only to document my progression of these projects, but to also demonstrate my artistic evolution.
